The COVID-19 Pandemic was a very tough time for everyone, people were struggling and fighting but eventually came out triumph. I was also one of those who chose not to give up and built a path toward my dream – A Small Business.

Just like everyone I had so many dreams, I was a Fashion Merchandiser and was planning to work on many different things but the Pandemic came as a barrier to all those works. But I am not the kind of person who is going to let go of things because of any setbacks. I used it as a platform to give myself time and work on my ideas. On 8th May 2021 when everyone was locked inside their home during the second wave, I decided to become a Solopreneur and turn my dreams into reality. I created my brand of SCRUNCHIES ‘World of Scrunchique’ and started making products without any waste in mind using quality textiles with the help of three household ladies one of whom was working at my home ‘Laali Didi’. All of them were very talented but were struggling to earn, So I chose to make a team to help them and create a source of income for them to support their families.

I was not going to stop there, I had that urge for more, and that is when I decided to collaborate with ‘EARN LEARN’ Trust and NGO by Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad to design and develop the brand labels.

World of Scrunchique is not just about making profits and earning, it is about helping each other in this tough time to turn this project into something meaningful that can create at least some impact in their lives.
